Darren Machule DMD, PhD

Dr. Darren Machule grew up in Boise, Idaho and completed his Chemistry degree at the University of Idaho in 1990. He then completed his dental education at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon in 1994 graduating with a DMD.

After dental school, Dr. Machule completed a one year general practice residency at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York, followed by another residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry in San Francisco, California.

With his commitment to education Dr. Machule entered a PhD program at University of California, San Francisco. He simultaneously completed his PhD in tooth development while pioneering the specialty program in endodontics, graduating in 2003. Dr. Machule is committed to taking, as well as teaching, continuing education courses. He is motivated to volunteer and train others at the highest quality of advance specialty care.

Dr. Machule became interested in dentistry as a child through a friend’s dad. He has committed a large part of his life to advanced education in his field and is very passionate about his chosen career. Through his journey Dr. Machule has accumulated extensive training to provide the highest quality patient care. He is very empathetic towards his patients and is dedicated towards the highest standards of care.

Dr. Machule enjoys the outdoors as a camper, snowboarder, river raft guide, and spending time with his wife, Dr. Phyllis Chen, who is a general dentist, and his two children, Gemma and Jasper.
