Advanced Technology

At Union Square Endodontics, we use advanced technology to improve diagnostic accuracy, treatment planning, and patient care. Our office is equipped with cone beam CT imaging, digital X-rays, and surgical microscopes to help our team see greater detail and provide precise endodontic treatment.

Cone Beam CT Scanner

Our practice utilizes state-of-the-art, small-volume cone beam CT (computed tomography) technology to create highly accurate, three-dimensional images for the diagnosis, planning, and treatment of endodontic disease. Unlike traditional two-dimensional dental X-rays, cone beam CT allows us to visualize teeth, bone, sinuses, and surrounding structures in three dimensions.

This advanced imaging technology provides a more detailed view of the anatomy surrounding a tooth while using a relatively low amount of radiation. The additional information can help our doctors identify dental conditions, plan treatment, and provide a high level of precision and patient care.

With the addition of cone beam CT technology to our office, we are committed to providing innovative, high-quality patient care.

Digital Imaging and X-Rays

Union Square Endodontics carefully considers when radiographs are needed as part of your diagnosis and treatment. Dental X-rays allow our team to see structures that cannot be evaluated with the naked eye and can help us identify cavities, evaluate bone levels, examine tooth roots and nerves, and detect lesions such as cysts or tumors. Radiographs can also provide important information when evaluating dental trauma.

Our office uses digital imaging technology, which provides fast, detailed images that can be viewed on a computer monitor. Digital imaging also requires significantly less exposure time than traditional film radiographs and allows our team to quickly access and store diagnostic images.

Digital X-rays can also be easily transferred to specialists or insurance companies when needed, helping streamline communication and coordination of care.

Surgical Microscopes

The surgical microscope has revolutionized the field of endodontic treatment and microsurgery. We have invested in high-quality surgical microscopes by Carl Zeiss that provide exceptional magnification and illumination during procedures.

Enhanced magnification allows our doctors to see the smallest details within the tooth and surrounding structures, which is especially important during precise endodontic procedures. Our office also utilizes high-definition video technology to record procedures with exceptional clarity and detail.

By combining advanced imaging with precision magnification, our technology helps us see more, plan more accurately, and provide highly precise endodontic care.
